Photographs!

Hello everyone!
We're already in the fifth station of this semester blogging sessions.
This time you'll be writing about
a photograph you like.

You will have to say:

Who took it
What it shows
When it was taken
Why you like it

*** You have to upload it too.

Include any other information you'd like to mention.
Write at least 150 words.

As a sample Post I'll include my own text:

                                                                         Mordor, Chile.

I know what you may be thinking: "this seems familiar, mmmm Lord of the Rings?" That's not it.
Even though it does look like it was taken from the fantasy world created by Tolkien, it was actually taken last Sunday 10th of May, in the city of Pucón, 19 kilometers away from the Villarica volcano, by a photojournalist named Cristóbal Saavedra.

The night sky lighted up by the active volcano, a beautiful and stunning picture. There are many reasons for me to like this picture, for example, I like it because it shows a very unusual sight for a night, and also because it reminded me of the Lord of the Rings’ city of Mordor, where evil had its headquarters.

It doesn’t matter if you read the books or you watched the movies. What the picture shows, is clearly a sign of what nature can do, and having the opportunity to witness such an amazing natural process, makes me feel more connected to the Earth’s natural course of action.
